He says that o97Ine William Taft arrived in Boston in 1638, became a freeman on 2 June, 1641. With his wife, Ann, had joined the church by 2 August, 1640, when the spelling was Teffe. He was a tailor. His will, probated 2 Nov. 1648 mentions his wife, Ann,8I Daughter Lydia and brother John.
